We Help People Make Smarter Financial Choices
Money is personal. And honestly? Most traditional advice feels disconnected from real life. We started mindfulmentis because we wanted something different—practical guidance that respects your time and your situation.
Since early 2023, we've been working with individuals and families across Taiwan who want clarity around spending, saving, and making intentional choices with their resources.
Why We Focus on Budget Strategies
Back in 2022, we noticed something. People weren't lacking financial information—they were drowning in it. Generic advice. Conflicting priorities. Tools that assumed everyone's life looked the same.
So we took a different path. Instead of pushing products or cookie-cutter plans, we built an education platform focused on one thing: helping you understand your own financial patterns and make changes that actually stick.
Our approach isn't about deprivation or strict rules. It's about awareness. When you see where your money goes and why, decisions become clearer. You start cutting what doesn't matter and protecting what does.
What Drives Our Work
Real Situations Only
We don't create scenarios from thin air. Every case study, every example comes from actual experiences—either ours or from people we've worked with. Your context matters more than theory.
No Quick Fixes
Sustainable change takes time. We're upfront about that. Our programs run six to twelve months because that's what meaningful financial shifts actually require. Shortcuts usually backfire.
Transparency First
We share what works and what doesn't. If a strategy failed for someone, you'll hear about it. Learning from mistakes—ours and others'—is just as valuable as celebrating wins.
How We Actually Teach This Stuff
Our programs aren't lectures. They're structured around real scenarios, group discussions, and individual reflection. You'll work through your own numbers in a supportive environment.
Interactive Learning Format
We mix live sessions with self-paced modules. You'll analyze spending patterns, test different budget frameworks, and get feedback on your specific situation. Groups stay small—usually 12 to 15 people—so there's room for actual conversation.
Personalized Pace Options
Some people need weekly accountability. Others prefer monthly check-ins. Our autumn 2025 cohort offers both tracks, so you can choose what fits your schedule and learning style without sacrificing depth.
Ongoing Support Network
Learning doesn't stop when the program ends. Alumni get continued access to quarterly workshops, updated resources, and a private community where people share what's working in their own budget journeys.
Case Studies from Real Scenarios
Every module includes detailed breakdowns of actual budget transformations. We walk through the initial assessment, the adjustments people made, what surprised them, and how their financial picture changed over six months. These aren't theoretical—they're messy, honest accounts of real progress.
Meet the Person Behind the Programs
mindfulmentis isn't a big operation. It's built around careful, thoughtful work—and that starts with who's creating the content.
Ylva Tremblay
Lead Financial Educator
Ylva spent seven years in corporate finance before realizing she preferred teaching people to navigate their own money rather than managing portfolios. She launched mindfulmentis in 2023 after running informal budget workshops for friends and colleagues—which kept growing until it became clear this needed to be more than a side project. She holds certifications in financial planning and adult education, and she's known for making complex concepts surprisingly straightforward. Outside of teaching, she's probably reading behavioral economics research or testing new budget tracking methods on herself first.
Curious About Working Together?
Our next program cohort starts in September 2025. If you're ready to take a clearer look at your finances and make intentional changes, let's talk about whether our approach fits what you need.
