Terms of Use
Last Updated: March 15, 2025
Agreement to Terms
Welcome to mindfulmentis.com. By accessing our website and using our educational resources, you're entering into a binding agreement with us. We've written these terms in plain English because legal documents don't need to be confusing.
If you don't agree with what's written here, you shouldn't use our services. It's that straightforward. We update these terms occasionally as our services evolve, and we'll note the date at the top when that happens.
Who Can Use Our Services
Our educational content is designed for adults who want to improve their financial management skills. You need to be at least 18 years old to register for our learning programs.
By using our website, you confirm that:
- You're legally capable of entering into binding contracts
- You're not prohibited from accessing our services under applicable laws
- All information you provide is accurate and current
- You'll maintain the accuracy of your account information
If you're accessing our services on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
Your Account Responsibilities
When you create an account with us, you become responsible for maintaining its security. Choose a strong password and don't share it with anyone.
Account Security
You're responsible for all activities that occur under your account. If you notice any unauthorized use, let us know immediately at contact@mindfulmentis.com. We can't be held liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account use, but we'll work with you to secure your account once notified.
Account Information
Keep your contact information current. We use your email address for important communications about your learning program enrollment, schedule changes, and service updates. If we can't reach you because your information is outdated, that's on you.
Educational Content and Intellectual Property
Everything you see on our website – the course materials, articles, design elements, logos – belongs to us or our content partners. We've invested considerable time developing these resources.
You can access and use our content for your personal education. You cannot reproduce, distribute, modify, or sell our materials without written permission. This includes sharing course materials with non-enrolled individuals or posting our content on other websites.
When you submit content to our platform – like discussion posts or assignment responses – you grant us a license to use that content for educational purposes within our platform. We won't sell your work or use it outside the context of our services.
Acceptable Use Policy
We've built this platform to help people learn about financial management. Here's what we expect from you:
You May Not:
- Use our services for any unlawful purpose or to violate any regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other user accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt our services or servers
- Upload viruses, malware, or other malicious code
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Scrape or collect user information without permission
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Use automated systems to access our services in ways that send more requests than a human could reasonably produce
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines. In serious cases, we may report violations to relevant authorities.
Learning Program Enrollment and Participation
Our learning programs typically run from September 2025 through early 2026. Specific start dates vary by program track, and we'll provide detailed schedules when you enroll.
Enrollment Process
Registration doesn't guarantee acceptance into all programs. Some courses have prerequisites or capacity limits. We'll notify you of your enrollment status within one week of your application.
Participation Requirements
Active participation matters. While we understand that life happens, consistent engagement helps you get the most from our programs. If you miss more than three consecutive sessions without communication, we may reassign your spot to someone on the waiting list.
Program Modifications
Sometimes we need to adjust schedules, change instructors, or modify content based on participant needs. We'll notify enrolled students of significant changes at least two weeks in advance when possible. These modifications don't constitute grounds for refunds unless they fundamentally alter the program structure.
Payment Terms and Refunds
Payment is due at the time of enrollment unless you've arranged an alternative payment plan with us. We accept major credit cards and bank transfers.
Refund Policy
If you withdraw before the program start date, you'll receive a full refund minus a processing fee. After the first session, refunds are calculated on a prorated basis for the unused portion of the program. No refunds are available after the midpoint of any program.
We'll issue refunds to the original payment method within 14 business days of approval. If you paid by bank transfer, we'll need your banking details to process the refund.
Disclaimers and Limitations
Our educational content provides general information about budget management and financial planning strategies. It's not personalized financial advice tailored to your specific situation.
We provide our services "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we work hard to ensure accuracy, we don't guarantee that our content is error-free or that our services will be uninterrupted.
Results vary based on individual circumstances, effort, and external factors we can't control. We don't promise specific financial outcomes from applying our strategies. Your success depends largely on your own decisions and actions.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, mindfulmentis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you agree to our data practices. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
You have rights regarding your personal data, including access, correction, and deletion. Contact us if you want to exercise these rights.
Third-Party Services and Links
Our website may contain links to external resources we think you'll find helpful. We don't control these third-party sites and aren't responsible for their content or practices. When you click an external link, that site's terms and privacy policy apply.
We use third-party service providers to help deliver our services – payment processors, email services, and hosting providers. These partners have their own terms and policies governing their services.
Dispute Resolution
If something goes wrong, let's talk about it first. Most issues can be resolved through direct communication. Contact us at contact@mindfulmentis.com with your concerns, and we'll work with you to find a solution.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Any disputes that can't be resolved informally will be handled in the courts of New Taipei City. This choice of jurisdiction doesn't prevent us from seeking injunctive relief in other jurisdictions if necessary to protect our intellectual property.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as our services evolve or legal requirements change. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through a prominent notice on our website at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Continued use of our services after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms. If you don't agree with the changes, you should stop using our services.
Termination
You can stop using our services anytime by closing your account. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or for any reason we deem necessary to protect our services or other users.
After termination, certain provisions survive – including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability. You remain responsible for any obligations incurred before termination.
General Provisions
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be modified to reflect the parties' intention, and the remaining provisions will stay in full effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision doesn't constitute a waiver of that right. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and mindfulmentis regarding our services.
